The guidance below describes PracticeLane’s app features. The Android app is not yet publicly available. Account, cloud and deletion processing are not active for this public website launch. You can contact support with questions.
Start with what you want removed.
Remove an account in PracticeLane.
- Finish any active drive and select the Google-linked PracticeLane account you intend to remove.
- Open Settings → Remove PracticeLane account / status.
- Check which account is shown and what will be removed. Confirm removal, and sign in again if asked to verify your identity.
- Keep the device you used to make the request so you can check progress. Removal may continue while the app is closed.
Sending a request does not mean removal is finished. Use Check status to follow the result. A request made offline remains pending until the service accepts it; once accepted, removal cannot be cancelled.
What account removal covers.
The process removes supported PracticeLane records stored online for that account, including routes, notes, related profiles, and saved edits. It then removes the app’s sign-in record. It also removes account copies on the device you used to request removal. The status screen explains any copies temporarily kept there. Your Google account is not deleted.
Other accounts and records saved only on your device stay separate. Limited records confirming removal, protecting security, or helping run the service may remain. See how we handle remaining records. Completed cloud-history deletion cannot be undone through PracticeLane.
Request deletion without the app.
Email support@practicelaneapp.com with questions about this process. Account deletion processing is not active while the Android app is coming soon. Once account services are available, include the email associated with your PracticeLane account and a request to delete the account and cloud history.
The steps below describe the manual support process once account services become available. This page is not a delete button, and your first message does not start deletion.
- You request deletion of your PracticeLane account and supported cloud history.
- Support checks the Firebase-linked account and its recorded email address.
- Support issues a one-time PracticeLane verification challenge and sends it to that recorded email, not an alternate address supplied in a message.
- You return the code with explicit confirmation that you want deletion. Codes expire after 15 minutes; arrange another verification session if needed.
- Support verifies the code, reviews your confirmation and explicitly authorizes deletion.
- PracticeLane removes supported cloud history and then the PracticeLane/Firebase sign-in identity.
- Support checks completion and confirms the result by email.
Your Google account is not deleted. If you cannot access the recorded email, contact support for review; deletion cannot be promised without verification. Never send passwords, Google sign-in or recovery codes, identity documents or your driving history. The PracticeLane support code is only for this deletion request.
Local-only history and copies on other devices may require separate erasure in the app or removal of the app’s device data. Backups and reports you saved elsewhere must be handled separately. Once complete, deleted cloud history cannot be recovered through PracticeLane. Limited confirmation and operational records remain as explained in Privacy.
Records on devices and files you’ve saved.
- One synced drive: use the app’s option to delete from synced history.
- The records selected on this device: erasing these records removes that device copy, not records stored online.
- Optional sync: turning it off does not delete records already shared.
- Offline devices: copies may remain until compatible apps reconnect and apply the removal.
- Saved files: backups, PDFs, diagnostic files, and copies shared with others cannot be taken back by removing an account.
